I'm a Lead Integration Engineer and Senior Backend Developer with over 15 years of experience designing high-performance, scalable systems. My career spans healthcare interoperability, fraud detection, and enterprise API architecture — always with a focus on clean, maintainable code and measurable business impact.
Currently at RainsStella, I lead end-to-end healthcare integration engineering — transforming complex clinical data into standardised formats that are accurately consumable by both source and destination EMR systems, while maintaining full HIPAA compliance and data integrity across every pipeline.
Previously at Stella Technology and FraudLens (Zigron), I spent nearly a decade growing from Senior Engineer to Technical Lead — delivering healthcare and fraud detection platforms for US-based clients, mentoring engineering teams, and automating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Grafana-monitored infrastructure.
Work experience.
Leading healthcare integration engineering — designing and implementing end-to-end data transformation pipelines that enable seamless interoperability between Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). Responsible for translating complex clinical data into standardised, human-readable formats consumable by both source and destination EMR systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and zero data loss across all integration channels.
Architected and delivered enterprise healthcare backends across multiple simultaneous live products — spanning HL7 interoperability with Mirth Connect, real-time event streaming via Apache Kafka, and scalable API design with NestJS and Node.js.
Led engineering teams across fraud detection products. Automated CI/CD with Jenkins & Docker, implemented Bitbucket branching strategies, and maintained code quality while collaborating with USA-based stakeholders.
Developed healthcare fraud detection apps in PHP (Fusebox), integrated Elastic Search and Geo Maps, mentored junior developers, and built an in-house HRM system end-to-end. Worked closely with US-based client teams throughout.
Built online course portals with Laravel and maintained the company website using WordPress.
Built custom CMS solutions and WordPress sites for diverse clients — the foundation of a 15+ year career in backend development.

Implemented end-to-end batch claims workflow: read bulk claim files, separate and store each claim record in PostgreSQL, run AWS Lambda batch jobs, split insurance responsibility and patient responsibility, and generate separate billing outputs (example: treatment $105 with insurance coverage $100 -> insurance invoice $100 and patient invoice $5).
Integrated multiple EMRs across healthcare systems using HL7/FHIR transformation pipelines in Mirth Connect, with Node.js + PostgreSQL backend services and Grafana dashboards for throughput/failure observability to improve reliability of cross-system data exchange.
Database migration, schema redesign, and Kafka-powered real-time streaming across microservices.
Scalable NestJS APIs with MongoDB and Amazon SQS for high-throughput async messaging.
Healthcare fraud detection with Elastic Search, Geo Maps, and data visualisation for US-based clients.

Managed all in-office and inter-team sporting events for 50+ employees — including cricket tournaments, recreational matches, and team competitions. Coordinated venues, equipment, budgets, and communications to foster a motivated, bonded workplace culture.

Away from screens, I looks after a working animal farm and agricultural land — tending to livestock and fields. It's grounding, deeply satisfying work that connects him to something far bigger than any codebase. A reminder that the best systems, digital or natural, need patience, care, and consistent attention.
